Visit Malmo Sweden, Copenhagen´s little sister.

Malmo, in the southernmost province of Skane, is Sweden´s third largest city with a
metropolitan population of about 500,000. It has more parks, gardens and restaurants
per capita than any other city in Sweden. Malmo also features many attractions
dating back to the Middle Ages. Throughout Skane there are more than 200 castles and
manors, many of them are open to tourists. There are also many inns offering gourmet
provincial cuisine.

Malmo has a lot to offer the pleasure-seeking traveller. There is a large range of
restaurants and entertainment to choose from and during the month of August, the
International Malmo Festival takes place. It is easy to find a favorite spot with
good music. Everything from nightclubs, such as the legendary Slagthuset and
Kulturbolaget to special jazz and music clubs and at the Konserthuset enjoy a
classical evening with the Malmo Symphony Orchestra. The choices are endless! During
the summer, Lilla torg (the Little Square) is like a giant outdoor restaurant, full
of cafe´s, restaurants and pubs. Malmo also has the advantage of being only half an
hour away from Copenhagen with a large selection of music venues, restaurants and
museums.

In Malmo everything is within a short distance, and only ten minutes from the city
center you will find the beach Ribersborg and Sweden\'s largest indoor water park,
Aq-va-kul, is right in the middle of the city, and it´s open year round.

The number of golf courses in and around Malmo continues to grow. There are more
than 60 courses of various descriptions, meaning that wherever you may be in the
province there is always a tee nearby. And the lovely and varied nature ensures that
no golf trip is like the next.

It is not hard to understand why Malmo is often called a city of parks. Kungsparken,
Slottsparken, Pildammsparken and Beijers Park are all situated right in the middle
of the city, like green oases. Take the opportunity to visit them while here.

At the Malmöhus Castle you will find the Art Museum, the Museum of Natural History,
the City Museum and the Science & Technology/Maritime Museum.

Transportation in greater Copenhagen and southern Sweden is safe, efficient, and
inexpensive.
